Immaculate Conception Religious Education Program
Registration for our Religious Education Program for new students and families takes place in the fall, with classes beginning around mid-September and continuing through the end of April. Under normal circumstances, classes would meet in our school on Wednesdays from 4:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. This year, due to COVID-19 restrictions, all Religious Education Program classes meet virtually on a weekly basis via Zoom Video Conferencing. Classes commenced on Wednesday, September 16th and will conclude on Wednesday, April 28th.
Immaculate Conception Sacramental Program Policy
Our parish policy states that students must attend Religious Education classes in First and Second Grade to receive the sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Communion in Second Grade, while students must attend Religious Education classes in Sixth and Seventh Grades to receive the sacrament of Confirmation in Eighth Grade. All course requirements must be met and regular attendance is expected.

Religious Education Curriculum For 2020-2021 School Year
Our Religious Education Program will be following a Constellation Plan for this school year. In the vast amount of information in a Religious Education Program, we will be focusing on specifics. Our goal is to focus on the fundamentals. Each class will follow a format which includes the following concepts:
Learning
Acting
Praying
We will also make it possible to Stay Near To God! by keeping lessons short, simple and safe. All of our Religious Education classes are taught by IC School Professional Teachers (most at the Grade level they teach daily.) While this school year is dramatically different from any other, it will provide us with an opportunity to grow closer to Jesus and develop our faith more deeply.
Our weekly Zoom classes include the following activities:
Opening Prayer, Weekly Intentions, Life of a Saint, Weekly Education Topic from Pflaum Gospel Weeklies, Social Justice Initiative (Living our Faith), Question Created by the Class to Share with Family Members, Closing Prayer.
